Luxembourg and Portugal battle it out in UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifier at Stade Josy Barthel:

Ronaldo came close to scoring again in the 53rd minute, but his shot was saved by Moris. Portugal continued to push forward and finally found their breakthrough in the 67th minute when midfielder Bernardo Silva scored with a well-placed shot from inside the box.

The game was now tied at 1-1, and both teams continued to push forward in search of a winner. In the 78th minute, Portugal thought they had taken the lead when Ronaldo scored with a powerful header, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Luxembourg continued to fight hard and came close to scoring in the 83rd minute when striker Daniel Sinani hit the post with a shot from the edge of the box.

As the game entered stoppage time, both teams continued to push forward, but neither could find a winner. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that was perhaps fair given the balance of play throughout the match.


Despite the draw, both teams can take positives from the game. Luxembourg will be pleased with their defensive performance and their ability to create chances against a strong Portuguese side. Portugal, on the other hand, will be disappointed not to have won the game but can take heart from their dominant performance and the return of Ronaldo to the team.
