Portugal continued to push forward and finally found their breakthrough in the 67th minute when midfielder Bernardo Silva scored with a well-placed shot from inside the box.

Luxembourg continued to fight hard and came close to scoring in the 83rd minute when striker Daniel Sinani hit the post with a shot from the edge of the box.

As the game entered stoppage time, both teams continued to push forward, but neither could find a winner. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that was perhaps fair given the balance of play throughout the match.


Despite the draw, both teams can take positives from the game. Luxembourg will be pleased with their defensive performance and their ability to create chances against a strong Portuguese side.
