Brief look at the life of "Mohsin-E-Pakistan" Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan

Abdul Qadir Khan was born on April 1, 1936, in the Indian city of Bhopal, later the world remembers him as a nuclear scientist, Islamic hero, and other titles...!



Abdul Qadeer Khan, known as Mohsin of Pakistan and an Islamic Hero, migrated from Bhopal to Karachi in 1952 along with his family at the age of 16 and continued his academic journey in the city of literature.

His father, Abdul Ghafoor, was a school teacher who also served in the Ministry of Education, while his mother, Zalekha, was a homemaker and deeply religious.

The Educational Journey of Mohsin-e-Pakistan:

Dr. Qadeer Khan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Karachi in 1956, then went on to higher education.

During the fifteen years spent in Europe, he completed his master's degree in 1967 from the University of Delft in the Netherlands, while in 1972 he received his doctorate of engineering in academic, metallurgical, and optical physics from the University of Leuven in Belgium.

Dr. Abdul Qadir and The Nuclear Program:

On May 31, 1976, Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan started work on making Pakistan nuclear power in engineering research laboratories at the invitation of the then Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and achieved making an atomic device in 1984. The name was changed to Dr. AQ Khan Research Center.

Mohsin Pakistan had surprised the whole world by establishing a nuclear plant in a short period of 8 years and the surprise of the world increased further when in 1998, with the permission of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he conducted successful nuclear tests in Chagai city of Balochistan.

AQ Khan Research Center, which has a prominent place in uranium enrichment in Pakistan, has equipped the Pakistan Army with many small and large war weapons including the Ghori missile under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Acknowledgment of Services:

Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was awarded the "Hilal Imtiaz" in 1989 by the Government of Pakistan in recognition of his services.

Abdul Qadir Khan is the only Pakistani citizen who has been awarded Pakistan's highest civilian honor 'Nishan Imtiaz' twice, first in 1996 by the President of Pakistan Farooq Laghari to Dr. Qadeer Khan, and the second time in 1999 by Nishan award.

Services as Chief Executive:

Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was the scientific policy advisor to President of Pakistan General Musharraf from January 1, 2001, to January 31, 2004, and during the same period, he was involved in the investigation of the security authorities assuming the provision of nuclear technology and information to Iran and later endured several years of detention.

Medals and Inscriptions:

Dr. Qadir Khan has received 13 gold medals from time to time, he has written more than 150 scientific research articles, while in 1993, Karachi University awarded Dr. Khan an honorary Doctor of Science degree.

Welfare and Political Activities:

Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan also created an NGO named Sechat which is active in educational and other welfare works while in 2012 he registered a political party named 'Tehreek Tahafuz Pakistan' with the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Tehreek Tahafuz Pakistan had its head office in Islamabad and this party also participated in the general elections of 2013 on the election symbol of 'Missile', but in September 2013, Dr. Abdul Qadeer disbanded this party.

Home Life:

During his stay in Holland, Abdul Qadir Khan married a local woman named Heni in 1964, who later became known as Heni Khan.

Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan has two daughters with Honey Khan, the elder daughter is Dr. Dina Khan and the younger daughter is Ayesha Khan.

Dr. Khan wrote in a booklet about Pakistan's nuclear-injured country that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto laid the foundation stone of Pakistan's nuclear program and the subsequent rulers nurtured it.

In another of his books, he wrote about the beating of the French First Secretary in Kahota that when the research laboratory was under construction in Kahota, he was running a pilot project in Sahala, during which the French First Secretary Foucault entered the restricted area of ​​Kahota without permission. On which he was severely tortured.

Mohsin Pakistan revealed in his book that after the beating, it was discovered that the French secretary was working for the US intelligence agency CIA, who wrote to his CIA officer in Tehran that 'something strange is happening in Kahoota'. Is'.

Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan also faced charges of stealing nuclear information while living in the Netherlands, these cases were dropped after the charges of professors from Holland, Germany, Belgium, and the UK were examined.

 Mohsin Pakistan Passed Away:

Nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was suffering from a deadly disease like cancer since 2006. He died this morning while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Islamabad.

According to family sources, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan's funeral prayers will be offered today at Faisal Mosque, while his burial will be done at Sector H-8 graveyard as per his will.!?
